Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) is an advanced cancer treatment that enables "dose Sculpting". It allows for the ability to wrap a dose of radiation around a tumor, thereby minimizing or excluding dose to the surrounding healthy tissue. Mid Florida Radiation Oncology Associates utilizes the latest equipment and procedures to deliver IMRT.

CT Simulation
Computed Tompgraphy (CT) Simulation is the basis for most of our treatment plans. It is used for outlining treatment volumes and critical structures, and for the placement of the radiation fields in three dimensional space.

Image Guided Radiation Therapy
MFRO uses Siemens' state of the art Cone Beam CT and Varian's SonArray Ultrasound Imaging and Infrared Camera systems to locate internal organs and guide the radiation beams to their precise intended location.

HDR Brachytherapy
High Dose Rate Remote-aftereloaded (HDR) Brachytherapy is provided using Nucletron's v.2 Microselectron HDR system.
